Doran tire monitoring system enhances fuel efficiency

Doran Manufacturing’s 360HD tire monitoring system can improve fuel efficiency by alerting drivers and maintenance personnel of a machine’s low tire pressure before heading out for the day.

According to industry studies, properly inflated tires can improve fuel efficiency up to 3% – translating to substantial fuel savings across the fleet. External, valve stem mounted sensors pass tire pressure and temperature data to the in-cab display, providing operators with real-time information and alerts.

With the patented Green Means Good at-a-glance indicator, drivers can easily identify if there’s an issue with one of their tires. In addition to alerting to low tire pressures, Doran 360HD includes visual and audible alerts for rapid deflation events and high tire temperatures.

There are multiple options for fleet managers and equipment maintenance teams to receive real-time tire alerts as well, including systems that automatically check tire pressure while technicians are performing vehicle inspections. In addition to enhancing fuel efficiency, monitoring and continually reporting tire pressures and temperatures allows fleets to schedule repairs and corrections to enhance safety, reduce tire related maintenance costs, extend tread life, and minimize catastrophic tire failures.

Designed to handle the extreme environmental conditions found on roadways across the nation, Doran tire monitoring systems account for heat, vibration and the longevity needed for performance in off road environments of all kinds. Optional accessories include a remote antenna kit, exterior signal booster, flow-through adapters, and flow-through valve stem extensions.
